Resumé "I Will Be the Light of Your Eyes": The Compositional Patterns and Stereotypes of Czech Love Romance Stories of the First Half of the 20th Century Diana Štelová The bachelor thesis focuses on the composititonal patterns and stereotypes of Czech interwar romance stories. As a representative sample are elected stories written by Maryna Radoměrská, one of the most famous writers of popular literature of the time. The aim is to trace the productive binding rules and conventions of the genre of love romance through detailed analysis of selected works. The analysis refers to such schemes, such as the nature of the heroines and heroes of the story, plot schemes in general and formalized text segments, such as, for example, happy end. This work also tries to cover the most common stereotypes used in a given genre. The resulting summary then takes the form of the Ten Commandments of rules, which are to be met in order to maintain a genre and which also characterize the genre
